My First Solo Stream Since Flip Phones Were Cool (And Other Tales from the Cyber-Bedroom)
Confession time, internet friends. I did a thing. A live thing. For the first time since, oh, around the era when MySpace top eights were the peak of social hierarchy and "texting" meant tapping a number key three times for one letter.
Yes, I fired up the webcam (which, let me tell you, has come a long way since 2005's grainy potatoes) for my first solo live stream in two decades. Check out the pre-stream jitters captured in this mirror selfie I snapped right before going live.
It was… an experience. A mixture of nostalgic nerves, technological fumbling (where is the "go live" button again?), and a whole lot of "am I really doing this at my age?" inner monologue. My glasses were fogging up from sheer anticipation.
But you know what? It was kind of a blast. The chat was surprisingly supportive, even when I accidentally muted myself for the first five minutes. We laughed, we got a little quirky, and I rediscovered that old thrill of performing, even if it was just me, my star tattoo, and a slightly-too-bright ring light.
Thanks for tuning in, if you did. And if you missed it, don't worry, I have a feeling it won't be another 20 years before I try it again. Stay quirky, everyone!
